These classes were added to the Gentle Blessings course selection for those who are on a budget or do not have a way to pay for the entire course at one time. It is very important for us to be able to teach anyone who has the desire to learn proper newborn care. We have made these single classes affordable for anyone. You will take them in the same order as the original classes with the exception of the sleep training class. This class is a highly desired class and is priced for the nonstudent. When you finish the entire course you will get a 50% discount on this #3 class. The manual is not available with this class but may be purchased when it is complete. Should you decide after either class one or class two that you want to continue with the entire course, you may take the money you paid for these classes and apply it to the full course. Nancy Hamm, CNCS, ISC is the Founder of Gentle Venture’s Training Classes. She has been a Newborn Care Specialist and Infant Sleep Consultant for 24 years and has over 40,000 hours of hands-on experience with babies. She has worked with twins, triplets, quads, sextuplets, preemies and generally the most precious children she could imagine.

Nancy also owns Exclusively Baby Nurses, Exclusively Newborns and Gentle Venture’s Training Center.

Nancy has taken college courses on Child Physiology and Child Development, has taken an extensive breastfeeding course through the La Leche League and is a Breastfeeding Educator through Lactation Management Skills. is a certified Happiest Baby on the Block Educator and has taken numerous sleep training courses.

Nancy founded the NCSA (Newborn Care Specialist Association) after it became clear there were no guidelines set for the certification of Newborn Care Specialists. She is a visionary in the field of newborn care, and through extensive research has become an expert on infant care.

Katie Morin ACNCS, ACISC began her career over 20 years ago. She has been extremely blessed to have worked with some amazing families along the way. One of her first and most memorable experiences with multiples (a set of newborn triplets) was 27 years ago. It was then that she realized her passion for working with children. It was then that she also realized her passion for caring for multiples.

Katie has a degree in Child Development and Psychology and has countless certificates including being Advance Certified through the Newborn Care Specialist Association.

Through the years, Katie has been a career nanny, a daycare provider, a preschool teacher and a Certified Newborn Care Specialist. She does not consider these positions just a job; they are a passion and what she loves to do. It allows her to meet incredible people, all with different personalities and aspects of life. This experience gives her the ability to educate and assist new parents during the most amazing part of their life. Most important she gets to nurture and cuddle a newborn during the first few weeks and months of their life. 

In 2008 Katie became Certified as a Newborn Care Specialist. To date, she has worked with over 40 sets of twins, nine sets of triplets and quadruplets. She has also worked with dozens of preemies (some born as early as 26 weeks) as well as newborns with special needs.

Katie’s other passion is being a teacher, a mentor, and a support guide.
